Can you imagine a world without computers? With our modern world being filled with seen and unseen computer systems it seems hard to imagine what the world be like if computers would not have existed.
In this post I have tried to imagine what the world would be like if computers didn’t exist.
First of all, a computer isnt just a laptop or desktop. It is any programmable device that can read and write.
It is also an electronic devices that accepts data in whatsoever form (sound, text) and gives out information.
To start thinking about our modern world without the existence of computers we must go back to the moment modern electronic computers came into existence.
Without the computer people would perhaps have spend more time reading books and instead of playing digital games, played board games or other games with friends. Would that have made me a different person?
I think it would at least have made me a whole lot more unaware of the things happening in the world, relying more on local books, television and radio for information.
Without computers, people will make more physical friends and be closer to them because all "Youths" do now is using social media to chat making it easier to communicate with friends and difficult to know them better.
People in schools far from home will have to take enough money to school that can last them for a long time. And they will have to write letter to communicate to their loved ones which can take days.
Business men and women will have to carry all their money everywhere they travel to because there would be no synchronizing of bank account which needs network.
Finally people will read their bible more and carry it to church more often.
COMPUTER HAS PLAYED AN ESSENTIAL ROLE IN OUR WORLD TODAY BUT IT IS ALSO GOOD NOT TO FORGET THAT THE WORLD WAS STILL MOVING SMOOTHLY EVEN BEFORE WE HEARD OF COMPUTER.
